What's on the dessert wheel
The wheel comes pre-loaded with 12 crowd-favourite desserts: Ice Cream, Brownie, Cheesecake, Cupcake, Cookie, Tiramisu, Donut, Cake, Pudding, Crepe, Pie, and Macaron. That range covers cold treats, baked goods, and international classics, so it works whether you're picking an after-dinner sweet, stocking a dessert table, or just settling a debate.
Don't see something you want? You can add any dessert you like — type it into the entry field and press Enter. Want to remove one (say, you're out of Tiramisu ingredients)? Hit the X next to that entry. The wheel updates immediately and each remaining slice adjusts proportionally.
Tweaking the wheel for your situation
A few adjustments make the dessert wheel much more useful than just spinning the defaults:
- Hosting a party with dietary restrictions? Use the eye-toggle to hide entries like Cheesecake or Crepe without deleting them — they stay in the list but are skipped during spins. Toggle them back on later.
- Bake-off or dessert contest? Use the numeric weight field on each entry to give certain desserts a higher or lower chance of being picked. A dessert with weight 2 has twice the slice size of one with weight 1.
- Running a giveaway? Paste a newline-separated list of participant names via the bulk import area, or upload a .csv file where the first column holds the names. Spin to pick the winner, then turn on Remove Winner so the same person can't win twice.
- Stuck on a broader theme? The Food hub has wheels for other meal decisions too, or check the Breakfast Wheel if the debate starts earlier in the day.
Using the dessert wheel in a classroom or group setting
Teachers use it to assign students a dessert for a cooking or culture project — spin once per student with Remove Winner on so everyone gets something different. At a group dinner, pass the phone around and let whoever's turn it is spin their own dessert choice. The winner dialog shows the result clearly and includes share buttons for WhatsApp, X, and Facebook, so the outcome is easy to broadcast to the group.
