What's on the Minecraft Challenge Wheel
The wheel comes loaded with 12 challenges that cover a wide range of playstyles and difficulty levels:
- Speedrun — race to credits as fast as you can
- Hardcore Mode — one life, permanent death
- No Sleep — phantoms are now your problem
- One Chunk — survive entirely within a single 16×16 column
- Vegetarian — no meat from any animal source
- Only Cactus — cactus is your weapon, your tool, your destiny
- No Mining — gather every resource without ever breaking a block in the ground
- Diamond Sword Only — one weapon type, no substitutions
- Elytra Only — reach the End, get your wings, never walk again
- Peaceful Boss Kill — defeat a boss on Peaceful difficulty, which removes hostile mobs and forces creative routing
- Skyblock — the classic isolated island survival
- UHC — Ultra Hardcore: health doesn't regenerate naturally
That range means the wheel can land on a quick weekend challenge like One Chunk or a multi-session commitment like a full UHC playthrough. Every spin is a genuine surprise.
Adjusting the Challenge List
If your group has already done Skyblock twice or wants to add something like "No Crafting Table" or "Blind Playthrough", edit the list before you spin. Type a new challenge into the entry field and press Enter, or remove any entry with the X next to it. You can also paste a whole list at once using the bulk import text area — useful if your server has a standing house ruleset you want to drop in quickly.
Each entry supports a numeric weight. If your group wants Hardcore Mode to come up more often than Peaceful Boss Kill (a reasonable call), raise its weight in the entry row. Higher weight means a proportionally larger slice and proportionally more wins over time. No sliders — just type the number directly into the weight field.
If there's a challenge on the wheel nobody wants to attempt right now, use the eye-toggle to hide it. It stays in the list but gets skipped during spins, so you can bring it back later without retyping it.
Using the Wheel for Group Sessions and Challenges
The most common use: a group of friends agrees that whoever spins the wheel has to attempt whatever it lands on. Turn on Remove Winner below the wheel and each challenge can only be assigned once per rotation — useful for organised series where you want everyone to tackle a different run before any challenge repeats.
After each spin, the winner dialog shows the result and gives you share buttons for X (Twitter), WhatsApp, and Facebook, or a copy-to-clipboard option. The shared payload is the challenge name and the page URL — straightforward for posting your assigned run to a Discord or group chat.
Spin history for the session appears below the wheel in reverse order, so you can see at a glance which challenges have already been assigned. If you're running a longer series across the gaming hub, keep the tab open — history is session-based and clears when you close or refresh.
Customising the Wheel Before You Spin
The Customize panel lets you change the colour palette (16 named presets, from Neon to Midnight to Carnival), the pointer style (Pin, Arrow, or Classic), spin duration (3, 5, or 10 seconds), and wheel label font. None of this affects which challenge you land on — it's purely visual. Hit Shuffle colors to randomise the palette order if the default arrangement doesn't suit your stream or screenshot.
If you'd rather build a wheel from scratch for a completely different purpose, the wheel generator starts with a blank slate.
