What's on the horror movie wheel
The wheel comes pre-loaded with 12 titles that cover a broad range of horror styles:
- Supernatural haunting: The Shining, The Conjuring, Sinister, The Ring
- Folk and cult horror: Hereditary, Midsommar, The Babadook
- Social and psychological thriller: Get Out, Us
- Creature and survival: A Quiet Place, It
- Slasher classic: Halloween
Every entry sits at equal weight by default, so each film has the same chance of landing. If your group has already seen a few of them, hide those titles using the eye-toggle on each entry row — they stay in your list but get skipped during spins.
Swapping in your own watchlist
The 12 preset titles are a starting point. To replace them with your own picks, hit Clear in the entry panel to wipe the list, then type each film into the text field and press Enter. If you have a longer list ready, paste it as a newline-separated block using the bulk import text area — every line becomes one entry. You can also upload a .csv file whose first column holds the titles.
Not sure what else to add? The Ideas button generates extra horror film suggestions based on the context of your current list, which can help if you're drawing a blank on titles to fill out a theme night.
If you run genre nights regularly — giallo one week, J-horror the next — you'll want to rebuild the list each time. The wheel doesn't save your entries between visits, so keeping a short text file of each themed list makes re-importing fast.
Weighted spins for fair group picks
Every entry has a numeric weight (default 1). If one person is desperate to rewatch The Ring but the rest of the group is indifferent, bump its weight to 2 or 3 in the entry row — it'll occupy a proportionally larger slice and come up more often. Everyone else's picks stay at 1. It's a low-friction way to settle a disagreement without anyone feeling overruled.
You can also sort entries A–Z, Z–A, or by weight using the sort controls, or drag them into a preferred order with the grip handle.
Remove Winner keeps the night moving
Turn on the Remove Winner toggle below the wheel and each film disappears from the pool once it lands. Spin repeatedly to build a ranked watchlist for a full horror marathon — the wheel won't repeat a title until you've worked through every one. The session's spin history is logged beneath the wheel in reverse order, so you always know what came up in what sequence.
