How to use the Random Name Picker

    Tune each entry's weight with the ± stepper. Heavier slices win more often. The live % chip shows each entry's true win chance.

    Hit the SPIN The Wheel button — or just press Space — and watch the wheel pick a winner. Switch sound effects in the customisation panel.

    Share the result with the X, WhatsApp, Facebook, or copy buttons in the winner card. Toggle "Remove Winner" if you want each spin to remove the pick automatically.

Tweak the odds when you need to

By default every name has an equal chance. If someone got picked last time and you want them less likely to win this round, lower their weight in the entry stepper. The win percentage updates live so you can see exactly how the odds change before you spin.

Multiple rounds without repeats

Running a tournament bracket or breaking a group into pairs? Turn on Remove Winner and each picked name disappears from the wheel automatically, letting you spin again immediately without picking the same person twice.

How is this different from Wheel of Names?

Same engine, different defaults. Random Name Picker starts with a gender-neutral name set; Wheel of Names ships with the top ten US first names. Either way you can replace the entries with your own list.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. The wheel scales to any screen size and the spin button is thumb-friendly. The Space key also triggers a spin on desktops.

How is the random pick chosen?

Each visible entry gets a chance proportional to its weight, selected by the browser's cryptographically secure random number generator. Disabled entries are skipped entirely.
