How to use the Food Picker

  1. 1

Customise the Food Picker entries to match your needs — click any slice to rename it, drag to reorder, or use the bulk import dialog to paste a list.

  2. 2

Tune each entry's weight with the ± stepper. Heavier slices win more often. The live % chip shows each entry's true win chance.

  3. 3

Hit the SPIN The Wheel button — or just press Space — and watch the wheel pick a winner. Switch sound effects in the customisation panel.

  4. 4

Share the result with the X, WhatsApp, Facebook, or copy buttons in the winner card. Toggle "Remove Winner" if you want each spin to remove the pick automatically.

The end of dinner indecision

You and your partner stare at each other. "I don't know, what do you want?" "I don't care, what do you want?" Twenty minutes later, you're still in the kitchen. The Food Picker breaks the loop in three seconds. Spin the wheel, get a verdict, order it — or use it as a starting point for a real discussion.

Customise the menu

The default eight cuisines cover most cravings, but you can edit any slice to match what's actually available where you live. Add your local takeaway names ("Tony's Pizza", "Maria's Tacos"), or fill the wheel with the contents of your fridge for a "cook tonight" decision. Each entry can have its own emoji for quick recognition.

Weighted preferences

Hate seafood? Set sushi's weight to 0.2 so it barely ever comes up. Want pasta to win twice as often? Bump pasta to weight 2. The win percentages update live so you can fine-tune the odds before you spin.

Frequently asked

Q.01

Can I add my own restaurants?

Absolutely. Replace any of the default cuisines with restaurant names ("Five Guys", "Sushi Yasuda", "Joe's Pizza"). A wheel can hold up to 100 entries.

Q.02

What if I'm cooking at home?

Replace the cuisines with your favourite home-cooked meals. The Food Picker doesn't care if “Pizza” means delivery or homemade.

Q.03

Can I have a 'no eating out' option?

Yes — add a slice called “Cook at home” or “Leftovers” and weight it however you like.

Q.04

Does this learn my preferences?

No — every spin is independent and random. Use weights to bake your preferences in manually.
