How to use the Country Wheel

  1. 1

Customise the Country Wheel entries to match your needs — click any slice to rename it, drag to reorder, or use the bulk import dialog to paste a list.

  2. 2

Tune each entry's weight with the ± stepper. Heavier slices win more often. The live % chip shows each entry's true win chance.

  3. 3

Hit the SPIN The Wheel button — or just press Space — and watch the wheel pick a winner. Switch sound effects in the customisation panel.

  4. 4

Share the result with the X, WhatsApp, Facebook, or copy buttons in the winner card. Toggle "Remove Winner" if you want each spin to remove the pick automatically.

Travel inspiration

The Country Wheel started as a "where should we go next?" decision tool and turned into one of our most-played wheels. Spin to land on a country, then plan a real or imaginary trip around it. The default ten are popular tourist destinations — replace them with your bucket list and the wheel becomes your personal travel oracle.

Classroom geography

Teachers use this wheel for "country of the week" lessons, current-events drills, and quick map quizzes. Replace the defaults with the countries you are studying this term, and call on a student before each spin so the wheel picks who has to find it on the map.

Theme nights

Spin the wheel to set a cuisine theme for dinner ("Italian night", "Japanese night"). Or use it to pick a film origin for movie night. Each spin becomes a small adventure prompt.

Frequently asked

Q.01

Are countries weighted by population?

No — every country starts with weight 1 (equal chance). Bump a country's weight to make it more likely, or add it twice for double odds.

Q.02

Can I add all 195 countries?

The wheel supports up to 100 entries. For a full world wheel, group countries by region (one slice per continent) and combine multiple wheels.

Q.03

Why are some countries missing?

The default ten are popular starter destinations. The wheel is fully editable — add any country you like, including territories, regions, or fictional places.

Q.04

Can I pick a city instead?

Yes. Replace the entries with city names — “Tokyo”, “Buenos Aires”, “Reykjavík” — for a more granular travel picker.
